The Investment Adviser may also voluntarily waive certain fees and expenses, and such voluntary waivers may be suspended or modified at any time without notice. Voluntary caps and waivers may not be included in the prospect's net spend ratio. The Fund's holdings of short-term asset-backed securities and corporate securities involve credit and liquidity risks and the risk of capital loss.
Recent market risks include pandemic risks related to COVID-19. The impact of COVID-19 has contributed to increased volatility in global markets and is likely to affect certain countries, companies, industries and market sectors more dramatically than others. To the extent that the Fund may be overweight its investments in a particular country, company, industry or market sector, such positions increase the risk of losses resulting from adverse developments affecting that country, company, industry or sector.
As a measure of current earnings, the 7-day return best reflects the current earnings power of the fund. The 7-day return is an annualized return based on the last 7-day period. The SEC 30-day return, which is a net return including any fee waivers or refunds, is based on the dividend per share of net investment income over the past 30 days divided by the maximum offering price per share for the period and annualized. Eliminated 7-day performance may reflect the resignation of BNY Mellon Investment Adviser, Inc. of a portion of the fund's management fee and/or expense reimbursement, which would reduce the fund's expense ratio and generate higher returns
Market Value NAV: Calculated based on available market prices (excluding overnight securities which are valued at amortized cost) for the Fund's securities at close of business on the specified date. It is calculated to the nearest hundredth of a cent or (or $0.0001).
WAM - A measure of the average effective maturity of all underlying money market instruments in the fund, weighted to reflect the relative percentage ownership of each instrument. WAM calculations make it possible to shorten the maturities of some bonds through regular adjustments in interest rates. In general, for money market funds, the WAM can be used primarily as a measure of sensitivity to changes in interest rates.
WAL - A measure of the average final maturity of all underlying money market instruments in the fund, weighted to reflect the relative percentage of ownership of each instrument. Unlike WAM, WAL calculations do not allow for shortening of maturities for periodic interest rate adjustments. Consequently, WAL is generally larger than WAM.
The daily dividend factor is a decimal representation of the yield earned in a day.
The cumulative dividend factor is the decimal representation of the daily factors that are added when a monthly dividend is paid in advance.
